Scientists of subsidiary of the “National Agrarian Science and Educational Center” JSC – “Kazakh Research Institute of Processing and Food Industry” LLP jointly with a scientist of S. Seifullin KATU conducted a joint work on the topic “Isolation of strains of lactic acid bacteria and development of methods for their storage”.

On the basis of the "Research platform of agricultural biotechnology" at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Institute under the leadership of PhD Kiyan Vladimir Sergeyevich and with the participation of a researcher at the laboratory for primary processing of plant materials of the Astana branch of the “Kazakh Research Institute of Processing and Food Industry” LLP Borovskiy Alexander Yurevich have been carried out joint work to isolate lactic acid bacteria strains and to develop methods for their storage.

 As a result of the work, 94 pure cultures of lactic acid bacteria were isolated.  29 of them are preserved by lyophilization.

 Scientists have developed methods for short-term storage on solid and liquid nutrient medium and the method of preserving microorganisms using barothermic exposure.

 Molecular genetic identification of 18 strains was also carried out.  It was determined that the isolated pure cultures of lactic acid bacteria belong to the genus Lactobacillaceae spp.  and Streptococcaceae spp.

 It is worth noting that the results obtained are intended for use in processing enterprises, as well as in educational and scientific work.

 Based on the results of the work, the thesis was published in the Materials of the Republican Scientific and Theoretical Conference “Seifullin Readings-14: Youth, Science, Innovations: Digitalization - a New Stage of Development”.
