Today, October 16 - World Bread Day! 

In September 2019, by a government decree, an addition was made to the list of holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with which October 16 was designated as the Bread Day.

Bread is the most important and one of the most popular and favorite food products. At all times and among all nations, bread was in special honor and was the main dish on the table. For Kazakhstan, bread is also an important export item.

The festive date was established in order to strengthen the high status of grain and bread products, as well as a sign of respect and recognition of the merits of Kazakhstani grain growers, millers and bakers.
