he Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan maintained the forecast of grain production at 18 mln tonnes in the country in 2020, declared the Minister of Agriculture, Saparkhan Omarov on September 7.

“We will harvest about 18 mln tonnes. As of today, agrarians harvested 11.5 mln tonnes of grains throughout 63% of the area compare to 34% year ago”, - S.Omarov said.

He added that the Ministry kept unchanged the forecast of grain export in 2020/21 MY.

“Grain and flour export will total 7-8 mln tonnes in grain equivalent. Key destinations will be traditional - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran. We plan to increase grain and flour export to China”, - the Minister said.
