The northern oblasts of Kazakhstan started to harvest grain crops. As of August 10, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout the areas of 93.3 thsd ha, or 0.8% of the plan, reported the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saparkhan Omarov.
“Farmers will start the mass harvesting campaign by August 20”, - the Minister said.
He added that as of now, the farmers of Aktobe, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Turkestan oblasts started the mass harvesting campaign.
“Generally, as of August 10, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout the areas of 929.4 thsd ha, or 37.3%. The production reached 1.8 thsd tonnes of grains, with the average yield at 1.91 t/ha. The harvested volume reached 1.4 mln tonnes as of the same date year ago”, - was stated in the message.
