Kazakhstan will export about 6.7 mln tonnes of wheat (incl. wheat flour) in 2020/21 MY, up from 6.6 mln tonnes in 2019/20 MY, declared the council member of the Kazakh Grain Union Alexsander Malov within the online conference on September 28.

This forecast is based on the current estimation of wheat production - 11.6 mln tonnes in clean weight.

“Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan to remain the key destinations for Kazakh wheat in the current season. Unusually high quality of this year crop will let us to grant the supply of high-quality grain”, - he clarified.

He mentioned that Kazakhstan could export up to 300 thsd tonnes of wheat to China in 2020/21 MY compared to 256 thsd tonnes in 2019/20 MY.
