Ramazanova Sara Bekentayevna is the scientist of the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture, doctor of biological sciences, professor, and academician of the Academy of Agricultural sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Sara Bekentayevna was born in 1936 in the city of Alma-Ata. After graduating from the Kazakh State Agricultural Institute in 1959, she worked as a junior researcher at the Republican experimental station for vegetable and potato farming. After graduating from postgraduate studies at the All-Union Research Institute of fertilizers and agricultural soil science in 1964-1974. She worked in the Alma-Ata zonal agrochemical laboratory as an agrochemist, the head of the analytical group, and the analytical department.
Since 1974, she worked at the Kazakh Rice Research Institute as head of the department for the laboratory of physiology and biochemistry of rice, in 1981-1988 she worked as deputy director for research and at the same time she headed the Department of agricultural chemistry. From 1988 to 2008 she held the position of the head of Department for agrochemistry of the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture named after V.R. Williams, from 2008 to the present, she is the chief scientific employee of the department.
S.Ramazanova has developed the theoretical basis for the use of nitrogen fertilizers for rice for the Kazakhstan Aral Sea region, the optimal dates and methods for applying nitrogen fertilizers for rice have been established, taking into account the state of plant development and varietal characteristics. The effect of nitrogen fertilizers on the formation of potential and real productivity, the true coefficients of nitrogen utilization of fertilizers and soil by rice plants were shown. She also developed methods for controlling the yield and quality of grain by micro-periods of organogenesis with the help of fertilizers for high-tech agricultural technologies.
In 1988-2017 was made an assessment of the state of soil fertility during long-term and systematic use of fertilizers, optimal indicators for the content of basic nutrients in irrigated soils for various levels of field crop productivity were developed, a system for the use of fertilizers for technologies of different levels of intensification of sugar beet and crop rotation crops with short rotation was developed.
S.Ramazanova has published 150 scientific papers, including 26 recommendations and guidelines, the monograph Mineral nutrition of winter wheat in the south-east of Kazakhstan (2017). S.Ramazanova has 5 copyright certificates, 2 patents for invention. She prepared 1 doctor of sciences and 5 candidates of sciences, five undergraduates and one doctor PhD.
She was awarded the medal "For valiant labor" (1970), and was awarded the prize named after A.I. Barayev (2001). In 2006 she was awarded the I.I. Sinyagin Medal “For Contribution to the Development of Agricultural Science”.
