Parzhanov Zhanibek Anuarbekovich is doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, honorary professor of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences - Uyghur Autonomy of the People’s Republic of China, academician of the Academy of agricultural sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

       A prominent figure in agricultural science of Kazakhstan, Parzhanov Zhanibek Anuarbekovich occupies a special place among scientists of the South-West Research Institute of Livestock and Crop Production LLP. Today, he tirelessly engages in scientific, administrative, social activities and is an indispensable mentor for young scientists.

Zhanibek Anuarbekovich was born on May 20, 1958 in the Otyrarskiy district of the South Kazakhstan region.

Higher education in the specialty "Zoo-engineer-karakulevod" he received at the Samarkand Agricultural Institute named after V.V. Kuibyshev in 1975-80. From the student bench, he began his scientific search.

Scientific activity of Zh.Parzhanov is inextricably linked with the Kazakh Research Institute of karakul breeding, where he began to work as a senior laboratory assistant, and currently works as Deputy General Director of South-West Research Institute of Livestock and Crop Production LLP.

   In 1989 he defended his thesis, in 2008 he earned a doctoral dissertation. Under his personal guidance and participation, the ways of fattening old-aged ewes intended for the production of Astrakhan sheep, the technology of beating lambs, production and primary processing of the Karakul skins were thoroughly investigated and the results were introduced into production.

Professor Zh.Parzhanov is the author of the tastinsky pedigree type of karakul sheep of black color of the karakulche astrakhan type (2005); the Kumkent plant type of Karakul sheep of gray color, blue coloring of the Moynkum-Zakaratau population (2010); a method for the breeding of brown Karakul sheep (2010); Zhomart factory type of karakul sheep of black color of a jacket-type astrakhan type (2010); Tobeldinskiy factory line of Karakul sheep of black color, flat astrakhan type (2011); the Karatau internal type of Karakul sheep of brown colour (2011); the method of keeping suckling karakul lambs (2011); feed mixture for feeding Karakul yaroks in the winter period of their cultivation (2011), Ordabasy meat breed (2013); Akbastau factory type of the Kazakh fat tail breed (2016). He actively participated in strengthening international communication on research, information exchange and the development of new technologies in animal husbandry (ICARDA). He also made a great contribution to the creation of the kozhatogai multi-fertile type of Karakul black sheep.

 In 1997 - 2010, Zh.A. Parzhanov was a member (scientific secretary) of the dissertation Council for the defense of the candidate and doctoral dissertation in two specialties. With the participation of Zh.A. Parzhanov developed a program "Effective livestock development technologies in the south-west of Kazakhstan."

Zh.A. Parzhanov developed a method for using vegetable tanning agents obtained from the natural flora of the Republic of Kazakhstan, replacing the mineral and synthetic tanning agents used for tanning karakul smushki and sheepskin (patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan for invention No. 17759) and a method for tanning astrakhan skins by scrolling them onto drums in an water-acid solution containing sodium chloride and tanning agent (patent No. 14463, 14464).

Under the leadership of Zh.Parzhanov 8 dissertations for the degree of candidate of agricultural sciences and 4 undergraduates are defended.

Zh.Parzhanov is the author of 453 scientific works, of which 7 are monographs, 14 certificates of authorship, 27 recommendations, and he is a member of the editorial board of the scientific and analytical journal Zharshi and the public journal Zhazira.

For a huge contribution to the development of agriculture, Parzhanov Zhanibek Anuarbekovich was awarded the Uzdik Galym medals and the industry award of the Central Committee of Trade Unions of Workers of Agricultural and Processing Organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the sign Enbek Danky І degree in 2012.

The list of awards is continued with the medal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Excellence in Agriculture”, the medal of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For Merits in the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the medal “Obliska Sіnіrgen enbegi ushin”, he was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Otyrar Region”, and was also repeatedly Awarded with Certificates of Honor and Certificates of KazAgroInnovation JSC.
