On February 18, 2020, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of NASEC JSC Essenbai Islamov met with experts from the Organization for European Economic Cooperation (OECD), Jéré Joly, director of Florimond Desprez Russia, Philip Clouet an expert on the sugar industry and Pierre-Eric Trimuya, economic analyst.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of the sugar beet sector and the development of agricultural methods, and their distribution in Kazakhstan.

E.Islamov told experts about the current state and prospects of the sugar beet industry in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Director of the Department of Science of NASEC JSC E. Satenbayev noted that several Institutes are involved in sugar beet development at the Center and that the scientists of the NASEC are currently working on the creation of domestic varieties, as well as studying international experience in developing promising varieties of sugar beets.

In conclusion, the parties agreed on joint cooperation and exchange experience on a regular basis.
