Scientists of the Kazakh research institute of agriculture and plant growing have developed the “SYRGALYM” variety of bare oats of food direction.
The authors of the variety are Sariyev B.S., Zhundibayev K.K., Abugaliyeva A.I., Loskutov I.G., Baimuratov A.Zh., Nurpeisov M.Zh.
The “Syrgalym” variety was created by individual breeding from the world collection 14627.
Variety - Avena sativa Var. inermis spring,
· The vegetative period - 98 days,
Weight of 1000 grains - 32.0-39.2 g,
· Protein content in grain - 13.8%,
The variety is resistant to early spring frosts and lodging.
Variety "Syrgalym" is included in the State register of breeding achievements and allowed for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2020 for cultivation in Almaty, Akmola, Zhambyl, North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions.
The average grain yield of the Syrgalym variety is 43.9c / ha.
