On April 27, 2020, an international online- seminar was held on the production of organic products, organized by the Kazakh scientific research institute of economics of the agro-industrial complex and the development of rural territories jointly with M. Kozybaev North Kazakhstan State University.

Each of us wants to have high-quality products, preferring products without GMOs and chemical additives, providing a healthy diet and maintaining our health. Many countries of the world are introducing environmental management standards, thus changing the approach to diet among the population and focusing on the production of organic products.

Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, in one of his speeches, identified the production of organic products as one of the priority areas for increasing the competitiveness of domestic products and developing the country's export potential.

100 participants gathered a seminar on the ZOOM platform! They are academics, professors and experts of Kazakhstan - Vladimir Grigoruk, Evgeny Klimov, director of the farm "Strelets A.V." Strelets Andrey Viktorovich, representative of Dikanshy Firm LLP Ilya Pampur, as well as a representative of the Israeli company “Agri Mechanization and Technology” Boris Bordman and Ltd, and “Sertifikācijas un testēšanas centrs Antanas Makarevičius”. Representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Department of Agriculture of the North-Kazakhstan region, farmers and agricultural producers of the region, students and teachers of NKSU named after M. Kozybaev.

For three hours of the online seminar, the participants took apart and discussed the main trends in the organic food market, certification, plant protection technology and technology for organic products, organic farming, the practical use of innovative enzyme preparations and, most importantly, the experience in producing organic products!

Students were able to communicate and ask speakers questions. As a result of the seminar, the representative of the Israeli company Boris Bordman expressed a desire to give lectures on plant protection for our students, Yevgeny Klimov will transfer his preparation for testing on the basis of our agrobiological station, and the Dikanshi company will invite our students and demonstrate how organic production is conducted products. The speakers also noted that students, undergraduates and teachers are free to contact them for advice and help.
