Tureshev O. is one of the leading scientists of Kazakhstan, who has devoted more than 50 years of scientific activity to the development of theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for the rational use of regularly irrigated lands in the south and southeast of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under his leadership and direct participation, the scientific foundations of irrigated agriculture for the south and southeast of the republic were developed, which formed the basis of recommendations on agricultural systems in Almaty, Zhambyl regions.

Tureshev O. was born in 1930 in the Karmakchinsky district of the Kyzylorda region.

He is one of the initiators and organizers of research on intensive technologies for obtaining programmed field crop yields, according to the results of which technological models for various yield levels have been developed taking into account the characteristics of a particular field, prevailing weather conditions, material and raw material capabilities of farms, which are used annually on the area 310-370 thousand ha.

Tureshev O. on the basis of a synthesis of many years of scientific research in 1994 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of agricultural sciences on the topic "Scientific justification for increasing the productivity of irrigated lands in the south-eastern region of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

Based on the results of these studies, scientific bases and practical recommendations are developed for the biological management of irrigated agriculture for all forms of agribusiness management under the current conditions.

Tureshev O. published more than 140 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 30 recommendations on topical issues of efficient use of irrigated land. 19 candidates and 4 doctors of agricultural sciences have been trained on the problem he is leading.

He was awarded medals "For the development of whole lands," For labor prowess, "For good work," For labor distinction, "Veteran of labor," two bronze medals of the VDNH, two diplomas of the VDNH, the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
