On may 22, 2020, subsidiary of “NASEC” JSC - the Kazakh national agrarian University hosted an international online conference on the topic: "Food security-global challenges".

The international online conference "food security-global challenges" is a platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, and providing up-to-date information on all issues of food security.

14 experts – famous scientists of the Kazakh national agrarian University, Kaznii of processing and food industry, as well as foreign experts took part in the live broadcast.

The conference was attended by speeches and reports of the President of Harmonization of global initiatives, Professor Huub Leliveld (Netherlands); Director of the scientific center for the study of camel breeding, Professor Bernard faye (France); Director of the Halal Institute of Putra University, Professor Yusuf Aniza (Malaysia); Rector of the Moscow state University of food production, Professor Balykhin M. G. (Russia); Rector of the Mogilev state University of food, Professor Kirkor M. A. (Belarus); Rector of the Odessa national Academy of food technologies, Prof. (Ukraine); Vice-Rector for academic Affairs of the Voronezh state University of engineering technologies, Professor V. N. Vasilenko (Russia).

In modern society, the main problem is food security. This is due to the fact that providing people with food from a physiological position determines their life activity and determines the political independence of the state and ensures its economic stability.

The international online conference provided answers to questions received from farmers, specialists and scientists. They also discussed problematic issues of ensuring food security and ways to solve them. Therefore, it should be noted that it is impossible to talk about the economic, political and national security of society if each state does not fully ensure the food security of its people.
