Scientists of NASEC's scientific organization the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing LLP created a spring barley variety of the brewing industry “ARNA”. Variety "ARNA" was created by individual breeding from a hybrid population K - 26180 (Sweden) x Kharkovskaya 73 (Ukraine). The author of the variety is B.S. Sariyev.

● The growing season is 75-85 days,

● Mass of 1000 grains - 50.0 g,

● Grain nature - 704.7g / l.

Resistant to early spring frost, to lodging and showering when overripe. The average grain yield of the “ARNA” variety is 40.1 c / ha.

The protein content in the grain is not more than 12%, starch 60-63%, extractive substances from 76-81%.

The variety is included in the State Register of breeding achievements approved for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1997 in Akmola, Almaty, Zhambyl, Kustanai, North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan regions.
