In Kazakhstan new perspective domestic varieties of apple trees “Voskhod”, “Ainur”, “Talgarskoe”, “Anel”, “Maksat” were bred by scientists of Kazakh Fruit and Vegetable research institute . These varieties spread over an area of ​​2563 ha. The economic effect of the new varieties is from an additional increase in yield (18 tons / ha).

     New varieties of “Talgarskoye” apple tree in 2004, “Voskhod”, “Ainur” and “Maksat” in 2011 are included in the “State register of selection achievements allowed for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

The fruits of new apple varieties can be stored in storage for a long time, which allows them to be sold and consumed fresh for a longer period (up to 9 months), which helps to increase the efficiency of doing business in this area.

     To solve the problem of increasing the production of seedlings and laying gardens with Kazakhstan varieties, the most acceptable is the creation of a joint company for the production of planting material of new competitive Kazakhstan varieties.

“Voskhod” variety

Breeding variety of “KazSRI for Fruit and Vegetable Production” LLP. Winter ripening, winter resistance is high. Resistant to powdery mildew and scab. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is round, compact. It bears fruiting for 2 to 3 years after planting in the garden. Productivity is high. Fruits are large, up to 260 g, candela-shaped, the color is light yellow with a delicate blush. The taste is sweet and sour, with a pleasant aroma. The pulp is white, dense, tender, juicy, fine-grained. The fruits ripen in mid-September. Stored until April. The variety is zoned in Almaty, Zhambyl regions

“Ainur” variety  

Breeding variety of “KazSRI for Fruit and Vegetable Production”  LLP, winter ripening period. Winter hardy. Resistant to disease. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is round, spreading, moderately thickened. It comes into bearing for 2-3 years after planting in the garden. Productivity 290c / ha. Fruits of medium size 170-200g, round-conical, golden yellow, with a slight blush, sweet and sour taste, with a strong aroma, creamy flesh, juicy, dense, tender. The fruits ripen in mid-September. Stored in the refrigerator until March. The variety is zoned in the Almaty region.

“Talgarskoye” variety 

Breeding variety of “KazSRI for Fruit and Vegetable Production” LLP, winter consumption period. The variety is highly winter resistant.

Resistant to scab and powdery mildew. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is round, of medium density. It bears fruiting for 3 years after planting in the garden. Productivity is high. Fruits are large 190g, round-conical, the main color is greenish, integumentary burgundy, sweet and sour taste. The pulp is creamy, juicy, and dense. The aroma is average. The fruits ripen in late September. Stored until April. Zoned in the Almaty region.

“Anel” variety

Breeding variety of “KazSRI for Fruit and Vegetable Production”  LLP. Summer-autumn ripening. Winter hardiness is high. Resistant to powdery mildew and scab. The tree is stunted, the crown is round. It bears fruiting for 3 years after planting in the garden. Productivity is high. The fruits are medium and large up to 205g, rounded with a dark red color. The taste is sweet and sour, with a strong aroma, the flesh is white, medium density, tender, juicy. The fruits ripen in August. Stored until January. It passes the State variety test.

“Maksat” variety

Breeding variety of “KazSRI for Fruit and Vegetable Production” LLP. A variety of autumn-winter ripening period. Winter hardiness is high. Resistant to powdery mildew and scab. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is round, spreading. It comes into bearing for 2-3 years. Productivity is high. Fruits 210g, flat-round, the main color is greenish, red blush on most of the fruit. The taste is sweet and sour, with a strong aroma. The pulp is creamy, dense, and juicy. The fruits ripen in late August. Stored until January. The variety is zoned in the Almaty region.
