for agribusiness entities

At the initiative of the Chairman of the Board of the “National Agrarian Science and Educational Center” JSC Toleutai Rakhimbekov, the scientists of the Center conduct online consultations for agricultural producers through the social media networks Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and Internet resources.

Despite the state of emergency introduced in Kazakhstan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from March 30, 2020, the “National Agrarian Science and Educational Center” JSC jointly with the Kazakh National Agrarian University and Kazakh research institutes of agriculture and plant growing, Research institute of cotton growing, Research institute of horticulture, Research institute of rice growing, livestock raising and crop production conducted 7 online consultations with a coverage of 47,184 people and with additional viewing of 6,740 people, themes were mainly related to issues of preparation for spring field work.

Thus, in the period from April 15 to June 15, 2020, NASEC scientists plan to hold about 229 consultations on different topics to agricultural producers.

“It is very important to support farmers during the spring field work. In this regard, NASEC scientists make every effort to provide support to agricultural producers during the period of the SFW. Despite the state of emergency introduced in Kazakhstan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we, agrarian scientists intend to continue to conduct active advisory work for farmers in all regions of Kazakhstan through modern information and communication technologies. Today, we receive many important questions from farmers and all subsidiaries of the NASEC provide them recommendations online,” -T. Rakhimbekov noted.

During the online consultations, NASEC experts conducted feedback with the participants of the consultations in the form of questions and answers. Comprehensive answers were provided to all participants of online consultations to their problematic questions that exist in their households. Scientists answered the questions of farmers regarding the issues of providing elite seeds with grain, fodder, vegetable crops, compiling agrochemical cartograms of farm territories and their cost, applying fertilizers (proportions and quantities), conducting agrochemical measures against parasites and diseases, introducing artificial insemination technologies, pasture conditions and their degradation, the characteristics of saline and eroded soils of arable land in the foothill plains of the south-eastern part of the republic and measures to improve their fertility and many others.

Due to the high interest and limited online time, as well as numerous questions, all recommendations and answers are provided in writing to the farmers' emails.

In addition, the scientific and research institutes and centers, agricultural experimental stations and farms of the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center conduct on-site consultations independently on the spot.
