NASEC scientists provided charitable assistance to Kazakhstani people in the fight against coronavirus

 

          Nur-Sultan, April 9, 2020, since the declaration of the emergency in the country by the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, scientists of the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center” JSC  provided feasible support to doctors, police officers and citizens of the country.

The subsidiaries of the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center” JSC provided charitable assistance to Kazakhstani people in various regions of the country.

 

         In particular, the leadership of the Kazakh National Agrarian University provided the student house for medical workers. In three student houses of KazNAU (No. 1, 3 and 10, in Almaty), there are 295 people living of medical personnel, representatives of the anti-corruption service and the workers of the city’s emergency service.

Volunteers from among the teachers and scientists of the Kazakh National Agrarian University prepared sleeping rooms in the student house No. 10 "Ak Kayin", where 210 medical workers of the city are located.

         The management team of S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro-Technical University provided one-time financial assistance to all teachers and staff in the amount of 100 thousand tenge. All teachers and their families are provided with computers and laptops in order to work at home. Young teachers participate as volunteers in the delivery of medicines and products to elderly residents of the city. As an aid for akimat the University provides its own vehicles for the needs of the city akimat.

 

         Employees of the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University as part of the We together campaign, provided hot meals to ambulance doctors and quarantine hospitals, as well as to police officers on duty at checkpoints. “As part of the We together campaign, we provided hot meals for employees of the ambulance station, doctors at the Ivushka sanatorium and Kumyski hospital, as well as nine roadblocks,” - said Akylbek Sultanov, the vice-rector of ZKATU. In total, ZKATU specialists prepared 240 packages of hot meals.

        Karabalyk agricultural experimental station contributes to the fight against coronavirus. About 400 citizens pass daily through a checkpoint on the border of Kazakhstan and Russia, which was put up for a period of quarantine measures during a state of emergency at the Kayrak (auto) border control point. Doctors and police are on duty here. During the week from April 1 to 7 the cooks of the Karabalyk agricultural experimental station, Tatyana Panchenko and Tatyana Zhyrova, prepared hot meals for doctors and police. Three times a day during the week the Karabalyk experimental station organized hot meals, as part of the social responsibility of the business.

Thus, the company contributes to the fight against coronavirus, helping those who are at its forefront.

          Since April 1, 2020, the city of Schuchinsk declared a quarantine aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection. In order to provide assistance during the quarantine period, a unified republican campaign “Biz birgemiz! Nur Otan have started its work."

Its main goal is to provide those in need with antiseptic agents, medical masks, and essential products.

Among the first to support the republican action "Bіz bіrgemіz! Nur Otan” were employees of Kazakh Research Institute of Forestry” LLP, who provided assistance to needy residents of the city of Schuchinsk.

Representatives of the team led by Director General Alimzhan Rakhimzhanov visited the Nur-Otan party’s territorial branch, where they received the necessary instructions for contactless targeted distribution of charity assistance on a door-to-door basis.

Further, together with the first deputy of the party’s regional branch Begakhmet Makhmetov, the employees of the research institute visited the family of Askarovs, mothers with many children Natalya Lisovskaya and Natalya Afletunova, handing them grocery sets, household chemical sets, antiseptic agents.

“We hope that such support will help people more easily endure the difficult period for the whole country, and everyone who needs help today will definitely receive it. We are together!” - representatives of “KazRIF LLP emphasized.

       The management team of Karaganda agricultural experimental station named after A.F. Khristenko LLP allocated more than 500 thousand tenge of financial resources of its enterprise for charity events aimed at supporting the population, under the conditions declared in the country of quarantine measures, in connection with the spread of coronovirus infection.

Thus, back in mid-March, when the first cases of COVID-19 were registered on the territory of our country, the director of the Karaganda agricultural experimental station Bauyrzhan Kalymov, in order to prevent the spread of a particularly dangerous infection, took the initiative to provide personal protective equipment, not only for employees of the enterprise, but also to residents of the village of “Tsentralnoye”. 

The issue of a shortage of medical masks in pharmacies was decided by the company in its own way. Immediately, material was purchased for the manufacture of their own disposable masks from universal paper towels. Part of materials was given to the local akimat, where employees made masks and then distributed them to the local population. And for enterprise’s employees, masks were made directly at the enterprise.

Baurzhan Kalymov, Director of “Karaganda agricultural experimental station” LLP, organized the purchase of reusable masks for employees of all enterprise’s subsidiaries. Personal hygiene products, soap, antiseptics, and disinfectants were also purchased for employees use. And the head of the company took care of raising the immunity of people. In order to maintain the health and protect the population of the village, vegetable spices useful for the body with anti-inflammatory effect were purchased - dried ground ginger and turmeric. These products were provided not only to all employees of the Karaganda agricultural experimental station, but were also distributed to residents of the village of Tsentralnoye, who are older 55 years.

 

        Scientists of the NASEC of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan urge all Kazakhstanis to strictly observe quarantine measures in order to prevent the spread of infection.

As part of a nationwide promotion campaign #Together! NASEC scientists will continue such good deeds in all regions of Kazakhstan.
