NASEC JSC will continue collaboration with the German-Kazakhstan APD in the field of organic agriculture, cooperation in agriculture and the introduction of tools for the interaction of science and business

Nur-Sultan, 20 January 2020 - Chairman of the Board NASEC JSC Toleutai Rakhimbekov held a meeting with representatives of the German-Kazakhstan Agro-Political Dialogue Alexander Barnewitz (project manager of the APD), Alexander Lysenkov (long-term expert of the APD) and Lunara Umralinova (long-term expert of the APD).  

Alexander Barnewitz announced that in January starts new phase of the German-Kazakhstan Agro-Political Dialogue begins under the leadership of the updated consulting company AFC and introduced its members Alexander Lysenkov and Lunar Umralinova.

T. Rakhimbekov informed experts about the activities of the NASEC, the current situation in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan and emphasized the role of agricultural science in ensuring rural development.

“We hope for more in-depth cooperation with the new team of the German-Kazakhstan Agro-Political Dialogue. We know how agricultural science was built in Germany and intend to study in more detail the experience of our German colleagues. In particular, we are very interested in the German experience in the field of cooperation, as well as the introduction of effective mechanisms for financing the agricultural sector and instruments for close interaction between science and business,” T. Rakhimbekov noted.

In turn, APD experts spoke about the important role of Kazakhstan as the largest exporter of wheat. In this context, Germany is interested in cooperating with Kazakhstan in the field of organic agriculture.

During the meeting, topical issues of cooperation for 2020 were discussed and a fruitful result of activities over the past period was noted.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue mutually beneficial cooperation and deepen the cooperation in the field of agriculture.

It is worth noting that during the period of cooperation within the framework of the German-Kazakhstan Dialogue (since 2008), many activities were carried out that favorably influenced the development of the agro-Industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
