Meyіrman Galiolla Tolendyuly is Doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Meyіrman G.T. was born in 1946 in the Berlitobinskiy (now Karatalskiy) district of the Almaty region. In 1969 he graduated from the agronomic faculty of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute with honors (V.I. Lenin scholarship) with a degree in breeding and seed production, and began his career in 1969-1971 at the Kazakh Agricultural Institute as head of seed production department.

In 1972-1973 years, he studied in postgraduate school, and in 1974 worked as an assistant in the department of breeding and seed production. In the years of 1974-1991 he worked at the Kazakh research institute of grassland (now Kazakh research institute for livestock and feed production). In 1976-1991 years worked as deputy general director, Head of the feed crop breeding center. In 1991-1993 worked at the Kazakh Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

In 1993-2000 worked as a director of the Priaral research institute of agroecology and agriculture, in 2000-2002 was deputy director for science at Kazakh research institute of agriculture named after V.R. Williams. In 2002-2004 worked as a professor in the department of breeding and biotechnology in crop production of the Kazakh National Agrarian University. Since 2005, Meyirman G.T. worked at the Kazakh research institute of agriculture and crop production.

In 1990 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in the specialty "Breeding and seed production". In 1992, he was elected a corresponding member of the Kazakh Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and subsequently became a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1995 he was awarded the academic title of professor of agronomy and in the same year became an academician of the "National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

Meyіrman G.T. was awarded the Honorary Diplomas of the VDNKh of the Kazakh SSR (1985, 1987), the National Center for Agricultural Research (1996), the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK and the Medal of Enbek dnaqy, the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RK and the Medal of “Kazakstan Respublikasynyn gylymyn damytuga sinirgen enbegi ushin”.

He published 95 scientific works, created and transferred 16 varieties of agricultural crops to the state variety test. Among them are allowed to use the following: alfalfa varieties - Kapchagayskaya 80, Darkhan, Zhaynak, Kokorai, clover varieties - Arkas and Saraichik, colza varieties - Maila, rice varieties - Aral 202 and Aru.
