A variety of winter durum wheat “ADIA” was developed by scientists of the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing.

The authors of the variety are Urazaliyev R.A., Ashirbayeva S.A., Nurpeisov I.A., Sarbayev A.T., Abdikadirova A.K.

The variety under favorable conditions of grain pouring and ripening is characterized by large grain growth, the weight of 1000 grains - 54.0 g. "ADIA" is practically unaffected by Tilletia caries, brown, yellow and stem rust (Puccinia graminis) is affected at the level of the standard Kazakhstanskiy yantar.

Varietiy is characterized by good and stable over the year’s quality indicators. With high pasta qualities. The variety is winter-resistant, responding well to agrophone.

Resistance to lodging is 4-5 points, gluten content is 39.2%, pasta quality rating is 4.4 points, Kazakhstanskiy yantar standard has 4.0 points.

The average yield of Adia variety is 59.2 c / ha.

The variety was proposed for testing in the south, southeast of Kazakhstan.
