The high-yielding variety of winter soft wheat “ALMALY” was bred at the scientific institution NASEC JSC, Kazakh research institute of agriculture and plant growing LLP.

This variety is high-yielding, highly flexible and has high drought resistance. It can be cultivated both in rainfed and in irrigated and moisture-protected zones. According to baking quality of grain, it belongs to especially valuable wheat.

Since 2003, the “ALMALY” variety has been approved for use in Almaty, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, and South Kazakhstan regions.

The authors of the variety are Urazaliyev R.A., Zhangaziyev A.S., Kalibayev B.S., Gabdullin K.M.

Variety: Erythrospermum - nigriaristatum (erythrospermum - nigriaristatum).

Variety characteristic: White ear. The awns are white, gradually turning black. Plant height 95-110 cm.

Variety mid-season vegetative period from 250 to 280 days. Winter hardiness is high (92-98%). Drought tolerance is high. Resistant to yellow and brown rust, as well as Septoria.

Protein content from 13.5 to 15.5%, crude gluten from 28 to 32%.

Under production conditions, yields are in the range of 50-60 c / ha (Yu.Ch. Tsoi - Taldykorgan, Farm "Darkhan", Zhualy, Urzhar, etc.).

Productivity - 80-100 c / ha.
