Alimgazinova Bayan Shurumbayevna is doctor of agricultural sciences.

B. Alimgazinova was born in 1955 in the Pavlodar region, Sherbakty village. In 1977 she graduated from Kazakh State University. S.M. Kirov, with a degree in chemist, and in the same year was hired by the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture named after V.R.Williams in the laboratory of plant physiology and biochemistry.

From 1983 to 1987 studied in correspondence postgraduate study at KazRIA. In the period 1989-19980 she worked from a junior researcher to the head of the biotechnology department. From December 1998 to 2001 she studied in full-time doctoral studies at the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture. In 2010, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Formation of genetic resources and their use in barley breeding”, specialty 06.01.05. - Breeding and seed production.

From 2001 to 2002 worked as scientific secretary – consultant for plant sector of National Academic Center for Agrarian Research of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2002-2004, she was the head of the devision of agriculture and crop production at the Department of Science of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK; in 2004-2006, she was deputy director of the Department of science of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK. From 2006 to 2009 - deputy head and then head of the Department of agrarian science, higher education and innovative support of the Department of development strategy of the AIC and agricultural science, director of the Department of Science of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK. In 2009 - President of KazAgroInnovation JSC, Ministry of Agriculture of the RK. In 2010, she was a leading researcher in the laboratory of the gene pool of field crops of the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing. In 2011-2014 worked as Director of the Department of KazAgroInnovation JSC.

B. Alimgazinova was a member of the Higher Scientific and Technical Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the STC of the National Center for Biotechnology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; according to the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK - the coordinator of Kazakhstan on the genetic resources of agricultural plants. R&D and Agricultural innovation project expert at World Bank Projects.

She was awarded a medal on the 10th anniversary of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a diploma of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a medal on the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Prize winner of A.I. Barayev for the best work in the field of agricultural science, certificate from the CGIAR for contribution to international cooperation.
