Agropark "Kaskelen" is a scientific and demonstration cluster, where all the latest technologies in the field of precision farming, crop production, seed production, phytosanitary, digital solutions and rational methods of management are applied.
The project is being implemented as part of the digitalization of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was created by a consortium of 5 scientific institutes: the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine, the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center, as well as agriculture and crop production, mechanization and electrification of agriculture, the Research Institute of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, and a project is being implemented on the fields of the basic farming - LLP “Kaskelenskoye”, an area of 1630 hectares.
The mission of Kaskelen Agropark is to increase the efficiency of the country's agricultural sector through the introduction of precision farming technologies, digitalization of processes and Big Data processing, environmentally sound management methods and the development of human capital in the industry.
Purpose: Development and implementation of conceptual provisions in the precision farming system, ensuring an increase in agricultural production by 2.5 times while reducing costs per unit of production and reducing environmental pollution.
- Implementation of a pilot project for the production of agricultural products based on a precision farming system that will increase labor productivity and increase the yield of cultivated crops;
- Transfer of scientific research to a higher, modern level with the receipt of competitive results corresponding to advanced world analogues.
An analysis of the situation in the agricultural sector of the economy of Kazakhstan indicates that one of the main reasons for the low profitability of this sector is the low level of development and implementation of modern agricultural technology and agricultural processing technologies. The intensification of production is not real without the use and implementation, transfer of innovative technologies of modern science, digital solutions, and international exchange.
The implementation of the innovation project on an ongoing basis will contribute to the growth of economic efficiency and the reduction of risks in agriculture. The development of human potential, both of scientists, farmers, and consumers, will automatically positively affect the industry as a whole.
