On 6-7 February 2020, the first meeting of the SAGRIS steering Committee took place in Nürtingen (University of Nürtingen-Gaislingen). "National agrarian science and educational center" is a partner in the European Union of ERASMUS+КА2 on the international project "Improvement of postgraduate education in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future (SAGRIS)." Implementation of the project is established from 15.01.2020 to 14.01.2023.

The SAGRIS project aims to increase the capacity of young scientists to meet the demand for research in the field of sustainable agriculture and future agricultural systems in Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The results of the project serve both to increase the attractiveness and quality of postgraduate education.

From NASEC JSC the Chief manager of the Department of higher education Anarkul Tursinbayeva took part in the first meeting and made presentation about the activities and projects of NASEC.

It is worth noting that the NASEC participate in the development of new modules for graduate students, research and methodological support for modules and research of doctoral students.

NASEC actively participates in the network partnership of the SAGRIS project, participates in the "wide-ranging" conferences of the project and the development of a strategy document for the development of doctoral research, as well as provides an expert assessment of the developed strategy. In addition, NASEC accumulates lessons learned and uses them to ensure quality by (1) consulting doctoral students and scientific leaders on research within the framework of the topics under study, (2) developing recommendations for third-cycle educational programmes to be evaluated and accredited in the future, (3) developing recommendations on the implementation of research results of doctoral students and scientific leaders and their application in the region. NASEC promotes the participation of Kazakhstan 's scientists in international conferences and increased publishing activity of graduate students in Scopus and WoS databases, as well as promotes the dissemination of project results and developed programs.

The project aims to solve problems in the field of training scientific and pedagogical personnel in accordance with international quality standards and aims to increase the level of knowledge in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future - a topic of national, interregional and international importance.
