Today the only option to adapt to climate change is water-saving technologies. There are many of them and they are being successfully implemented around the world, especially in the arid regions of the planet. However, their implementation is very slow in our country, although, who better than we should refer to such types of agricultural irrigation as drip irrigation. It has been known for a long time in Central Asia, but, unfortunately, has not gained wide popularity, that is why most farmers and peasants are content with traditional irrigation practices, in which most of the water is wasted.

The promotion and development of drip irrigation technologies is carried out by the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing (KazRIAPG). On the fields of the Iinstitute, a drip irrigation system is being introduced without the use of electricity and pumps. For this, scientists have invented a self-pressure drip irrigation system, which works due to the natural elevation difference.
